Life West’s Preceptorship Program is growing quickly, and Life West is on the lookout for chiropractors who can offer senior students a temporary spot in their practice.
The goal of the Preceptorship Program is to provide senior students or students who have earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree but have not received a license yet with an opportunity to increase their clinical experience prior to entering into private practice. The intern gets the chance to work in a real-world setting under the supervision of a supervising doctor.
The Preceptor or host DC assists in the development of a new practitioner, who brings enthusiasm and a willingness to learn to the practice.
Students generally spend about 3 months with a supervising doctor, working up to 30 hours a week. They are not paid during the preceptorship.
